With operations spanning high-profile, technically complex projects, this role sits at the commercial centre of project performance — supporting operations, advising leadership, and driving cost control outcomes.

As a trusted business partner to the Commercial Manager, this position offers a rare blend of hands-on financial analysis and strategic exposure across major works. The Role:

This newly created role is focused on ensuring financial clarity across active projects, with responsibility for analysing expenditure trends, validating commercial decisions, and supporting project leadership with real-time data and forecasting. Key areas of focus include:

• Delivering end-to-end visibility across project financials, including budgets, trends, and risks

• Leading monthly reviews with project teams to assess performance and provide actionable insights

• Preparing client-facing commercial documentation and internal financial reports

• Advising on cost optimisation opportunities and identifying drivers of project variance

• Monitoring commercial risk and supporting pricing, claims, and project close-out activity

• Ensuring the integrity of data across systems, and assisting in continuous improvement initiatives

About You:

We’re seeking an ambitious Commercial Analyst or Management Accountant who is confident working in fast-moving environments and wants to play a central role in project success. You will bring:

• Degree qualifications in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline

• A minimum of 5 years' experience in a project-facing finance role – ideally within infrastructure, construction, energy, or heavy industry

• Excellent modelling and analytical capabilities, with strong Excel skills

• Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g. Jobpac, JD Edwards, or equivalent)

• A proactive mindset and the ability to communicate confidently across technical and non-technical stakeholders

• Experience supporting large-scale project environments with complex cost structures will be highly regarded
