About the Role
We are seeking a highly experienced and dynamic Commercial Manager to lead bids, pricing, and commercial contract negotiations. As a Commercial Manager, you will be responsible for developing and implementing commercial strategies that maximize profitability, minimize risk, and support core business objectives. You will work closely with sales, engineering, and project management teams to ensure that all commercial proposals are compelling, competitive, and meet the needs of customers.
Key Responsibilities:
Leading the development and implementation of commercial strategies that support business objectives, including bids, pricing, and commercial contract negotiations
Collaborating with sales, engineering, and project management teams to develop and execute winning proposals that meet the needs of our customers
Conducting market research and competitive analysis to inform pricing strategy and ensure that our commercial proposals are competitive and compelling
Negotiating and finalising commercial contracts with customers and suppliers
Ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements
Managing and mentoring a team of commercial professionals to ensure their professional growth and development
Monitoring and reporting on project financial performance against budgets and forecasts
Key Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in business, finance, or a related field
Minimum of 10 years of experience in commercial management, with a focus on bids, pricing, and commercial contract negotiations.
Strong knowledge of commercial processes, including bids, pricing, and commercial contract negotiations
Excellent negotiation and communication skills
Strong leadership and team management skills
Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret complex data and make informed decisions
Ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders simultaneously
