About the Role
This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a leading consultancy firm in the renewables energy sector and play a pivotal role in the company's success.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in finance, with experience working in the energy sector. They should have a deep understanding of financial analysis, modeling, and forecasting, and be able to provide innovative and value-added solutions to clients.
Key responsibilities of the role include:
Developing and managing financial models for energy projects and investments
Conducting market research and financial analysis to identify trends and opportunities in the energy sector
Providing strategic advice and recommendations to clients on investment opportunities and risk management
Conducting due diligence and financial analysis for M&A transactions
Supporting the business development efforts of the company by identifying new opportunities and building relationships with clients.
The successful candidate will have a proven track record of delivering successful financial analysis and modeling in the energy / renewables sector, as well as excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills. They should be comfortable working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, and be willing to travel as required.
Qualifications and experience required:
Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, or a related field
Minimum of 3 years of experience in financial analysis in the energy sector
Strong financial modeling skills and proficiency in Microsoft Excel
Experience with financial analysis and valuation techniques
Understanding of the Australian energy market and regulatory environment
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
