About the Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Payroll Officer to join a leading entertainment company in Australia. This role offers the chance to work in a dynamic and fast-paced industry, where the successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the accurate and timely processing of payroll for employees.
Responsibilities:
Leading the payroll team to ensure accurate and timely processing of payroll, including salaries, wages, overtime, and leave entitlements.
Reviewing and approving payroll transactions to ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
Maintaining and updating employee records in the payroll system.
Providing guidance and support to the payroll team on complex payroll issues.
Processing superannuation contributions and ensuring compliance with superannuation laws.
Preparing payroll reports and responding to payroll queries.
Supporting the finance team with month-end reporting and other ad-hoc tasks.
Requirements:
At least 5 years of experience in payroll processing and administration, with previous experience in a similar senior role.
Strong knowledge of payroll systems and software, with experience in implementing and improving payroll processes.
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy, with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with employees at all levels of the organization.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Relevant tertiary qualification in accounting, finance, or a related field.
