Asia Pac Payroll Manager

• Can be based Sydney, or Melbourne

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Payroll Manager to oversee payroll operations across the Asia-Pacific region for a leading global organization. This is a confidential role with a focus on ensuring the timely and accurate processing of payroll for employees across multiple countries, in compliance with local laws and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Payroll Management: Oversee the payroll processes across various APAC countries, ensuring accurate and timely salary disbursements, benefits, deductions, and other compensation components.

• Compliance & Accuracy: Stay informed of and ensure compliance with local labor laws, tax regulations, and social security requirements, maintaining precise payroll records for all employees.

• Collaboration: Work closely with HR, finance, and other departments to ensure comprehensive and accurate employee data for payroll processing.

• Process Improvement: Identify areas for improvement and implement efficient payroll systems and processes to enhance operational efficiency.

• Team Leadership: Provide guidance and support to the payroll team, ensuring adherence to company policies and procedures while maintaining confidentiality and integrity of sensitive payroll information.

What We’re Looking For:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in payroll management, particularly within the APAC region.

• Strong understanding of APAC payroll regulations and local labor laws.

• Excellent analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy.

• Proficiency in payroll systems, software, and MS Excel.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
