Strategic Leadership Role in Payroll Management


Aequalis Consulting is partnering with a fast-growing organization to find a Head of Payroll to lead payroll operations across multiple sites. This is a senior, strategic role where you will oversee the payroll function for thousands of employees, ensuring the smooth execution of payroll processes while driving operational improvements.

As the Head of Payroll, you’ll work closely with senior leadership to align payroll strategy with broader business objectives, ensuring compliance, efficiency, and excellence in service delivery.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee payroll operations across multiple sites, ensuring the accurate and timely payment of wages for a large, diverse workforce.

  • Develop and implement payroll strategies that align with the company’s goals and regulatory requirements.

  • Lead a team of payroll professionals, providing strategic guidance and support.

  • Manage payroll audits, compliance, and risk management, ensuring adherence to legal and regulatory standards.

  • Collaborate with finance, HR, and operational teams to drive process improvements and increase payroll efficiency.

  • Prepare detailed payroll reports and contribute to high-level business planning and budgeting.


About You:

  • 10+ years of payroll experience, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.

  • Proven experience managing payroll for large, multi-site operations.

  • In-depth knowledge of payroll systems, legislation, and regulatory compliance.

  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage large teams and drive results.

  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on process improvement.
