Are you a numbers-driven thinker who thrives in a commercial, fast-paced project environment?We’re working exclusively on a high-impact opportunity for a Finance Business Partner to join one of Queensland’s leading infrastructure and energy contractors. This is a permanent role supporting project delivery teams with financial insight, forecasting and reporting across a complex national operation.

You’ll partner directly with operational leaders to drive performance, shape forecasts, and turn numbers into narratives that support real-time decision making.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Own month-end reporting processes including revenue recognition, accruals, and financial reconciliations

• Analyse project and business unit performance with commentary on variances, risks, and trends

• Work with project managers and commercial leads to review cost controls, stock ageing, DSO, and billing cycle health

• Prepare inputs into forecasting and budgeting models, including capex build and project-based reforecasting

• Support bid/tender submissions by advising on pricing, financial returns, and cost assumptions

• Champion improvements in reporting, forecasting accuracy, and operational decision-making

• Provide guidance to local administration teams on finance processes and systems

What We’re Looking For:

• CPA or CA qualified (or working towards)

• 2–5 years’ experience in a finance, commercial analyst or management accounting role

• Strong technical foundation in financial reporting and budgeting

• Highly proficient in Excel and ERP systems (e.g. Jobpac, JD Edwards, etc.)

• Detail-focused with excellent organisational and communication skills

• Previous exposure to capex, inventory, or project-based environments highly regarded

• Bonus points for Power BI experience or experience in infrastructure, services, or energy sectors
