Role Overview
This Brisbane-based building company operates across commercial and project-based construction, delivering work through a structured, delivery-focused model. The business has an established presence in the local market and a stable pipeline of projects secured into 2026.
As part of continued growth, the organisation is seeking an experienced Finance Manager to oversee financial operations, reporting and commercial support across the business. The role works closely with senior leadership and plays a key role in supporting project delivery, cashflow management and long-term financial planning.
Key Responsibilities
End-to-end financial management for a building and construction business
Oversight of monthly management reporting and statutory compliance
Cashflow forecasting and working capital management
Project cost reporting and financial performance tracking
Budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis
Oversight of payroll, accounts payable and receivable functions
Supporting Directors with commercial insights and financial decision-making
Liaison with external accountants, auditors and advisors
About You
Proven experience as a Finance Manager or Senior Accountant within construction or project-based environments
Strong understanding of job costing, cashflow and project financial controls
Experience supporting operational and project delivery teams
Sound knowledge of Australian financial and compliance requirements
Comfortable operating in hands-on, medium-sized business environments
Strong communication skills and commercial judgement
