Role Overview
A leading energy infrastructure delivery contractor is seeking an experienced Senior Project Engineer to support the delivery of gas gathering and associated pipeline works in the Surat Basin.
This role is suited to a hands-on project engineer with strong construction delivery capability, operating in a FIFO environment while being Brisbane-based between swings. You will work closely with Project Managers, Supervisors and subcontractors to drive safe, efficient and compliant execution across active gas infrastructure works.
Key Responsibilities
Support end-to-end delivery of gas gathering and pipeline construction works
Coordinate engineering, procurement and construction activities on site
Manage subcontractors, scopes of work and daily construction interfaces
Ensure works are delivered in accordance with design, safety and quality requirements
Support construction planning, scheduling and short-term lookahead programs
Assist with cost tracking, variations and progress reporting
Contribute to site safety leadership and risk management processes
Interface with supervisors, construction managers and project leadership
About You
Engineering qualification (civil, mechanical or related discipline)
Experience delivering gas gathering, pipelines or energy infrastructure projects
Background in construction delivery within oil & gas or energy environments
Comfortable working in FIFO and remote site conditions
Strong understanding of construction methodology, safety and quality systems
Ability to coordinate subcontractors and manage multiple work fronts
Practical, delivery-focused mindset with strong communication skills
