Role Overview:

We are recruiting a Pipeline Project Engineer to support the delivery of large-scale energy and gas infrastructure projects across Queensland. Based in Brisbane with regular project interface across the Surat Basin, this role is suited to an engineer with hands-on pipeline construction experience and strong project coordination capability.

Working within an established project delivery team, the Pipeline Project Engineer will contribute across planning, technical review, contractor coordination and site execution, supporting safe, compliant and efficient delivery of linear infrastructure and associated facilities.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Support end-to-end delivery of pipeline and energy infrastructure projects from planning through to construction.

  • Interpret pipeline design drawings, specifications and construction documentation.

  • Coordinate technical queries, RFIs and design clarifications with engineering and construction teams.

  • Assist with development and maintenance of construction schedules, work packs and execution plans.

  • Monitor contractor performance, progress and quality against approved scopes.

  • Support cost tracking, forecasting and commercial reporting for assigned pipeline scopes.

  • Ensure works comply with relevant safety, environmental and regulatory requirements.

  • Maintain accurate project documentation, reports and site records.


About You:

  • Degree qualified in Civil, Mechanical or Pipeline Engineering, or equivalent experience.

  • Experience working on pipeline, gas, oil & gas or linear infrastructure projects.

  • Strong understanding of construction methodologies, materials and pipeline installation practices.

  • Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications and resolve site-based engineering issues.

  • Confident communicator with experience working across site, engineering and project controls teams.

  • Well organised with a practical, delivery-focused approach to project execution.
