Role Overview:
We are recruiting a Project Controls Engineer to support planning, cost control and performance reporting across major infrastructure and energy projects. This role sits within integrated project delivery teams, providing critical insight into schedule, cost, risk and progress across complex, multi-disciplinary works.
The Project Controls Engineer will work closely with engineering, construction and commercial teams to ensure projects are accurately forecast, controlled and reported, supporting informed decision-making throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain project schedules using Primavera P6 and/or Microsoft Project.
Establish and manage cost control, forecasting and cash flow reporting processes.
Track project progress, analyse variances and provide clear performance reporting.
Support earned value management (EVM) and productivity analysis where required.
Prepare weekly and monthly project controls reports for internal and external stakeholders.
Assist with risk identification, mitigation planning and change management.
Support baseline development, schedule updates and claims substantiation.
Work collaboratively with project managers, engineers and commercial teams to maintain data accuracy.
About You:
Degree qualified in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management or similar.
Experience in project controls, planning or cost engineering within infrastructure, energy or major projects.
Strong capability in scheduling tools such as Primavera P6 and/or MS Project.
Solid understanding of cost control, forecasting and progress measurement techniques.
High attention to detail with strong analytical and reporting skills.
Ability to work across site and corporate environments on complex project portfolios.
