Welding Supervisor – Poly Welding (HDPE) | CSG Gathering | Surat Basin

Aequalis Consulting is supporting a major CSG operator in the Surat Basin and we are seeking two experienced Poly Welding Supervisors to lead field crews delivering HDPE welding and gathering construction works.

If you’ve supervised HDPE welding crews in CSG gathering, understand poly fusion quality standards, and know how to set up work fronts in a fast-moving upstream environment — this is an outstanding long-term opportunity.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Supervising poly welding crews across HDPE (PE100) gas & water lines

• Overseeing butt fusion, electrofusion, QA checks & weld traceability

• Setting up and running daily work fronts — trenching, features, tie-ins & fit-off

• Ensuring strong HSE performance, safe workflows & hazard management

• Reviewing welding documentation, ITPs, weld logs & daily reports

• Coordinating plant, materials, consumables & work sequencing

• Liaising with client reps, construction managers & engineers

• Maintaining accurate records, weld logs, testing data & progress reports

You’ll Need

• Proven background as a Welding Supervisor in CSG gathering

• Strong knowledge of HDPE welding, butt fusion, EF welding & testing

• Demonstrated ability to manage poly crews safely & productively

• Experience planning & setting up work fronts in the field

• Excellent reporting, documentation & QA/QC capability

• PMBWELD, PW-1 or equivalent HDPE welding competency (highly regarded)

Ideal backgrounds include: Welding Supervisor – Poly, HDPE Supervisor, CSG Welding Lead, Gathering Supervisor with strong poly knowledge, Field Welding Coordinator.
