Role Overview


A major infrastructure delivery organisation is seeking an experienced Contract Manager to lead contract and commercial governance across a portfolio of complex capital projects based in Sydney.

This role focuses on end-to-end contract management throughout the delivery lifecycle. You will work in close partnership with Project Managers, Delivery Leads and senior stakeholders to ensure contractual obligations are met, risks are actively managed, and commercial outcomes are consistent across multiple projects.


Key Responsibilities

  • Manage customer and delivery contracts across a portfolio of infrastructure projects

  • Ensure contractual obligations, governance and reporting requirements are met

  • Develop and maintain contract management plans and handover processes

  • Support project teams with contract interpretation, risk mitigation and issue resolution

  • Manage variations, claims, extensions of time and dispute processes

  • Lead or support commercial and contractual negotiations with counterparties

  • Provide advice on contract strategy, risk allocation and compliance

  • Support project close-out activities including claims, disputes and final accounts


About You

  • 10–15 years’ experience in contract management within infrastructure or major projects

  • Background in engineering, law, commerce or a related discipline

  • Proven experience managing complex construction and delivery contracts

  • Strong understanding of contract administration, claims and risk management

  • Experience working across multi-project or portfolio environments

  • Confident engaging with senior stakeholders and delivery teams

  • Structured, pragmatic and detail-oriented approach
