We're looking for an experienced Project Manager to join a highly regarded client-side consultancy delivering projects across Australia's social infrastructure sector.

This is an opportunity to move beyond simply managing programmes, consultants and contractors.

The Opportunity

You'll work across a diverse portfolio of health, education and institutional projects, representing the client and helping turn complex ideas into successful built outcomes.

From the earliest stages of planning and design through procurement, construction and completion, you'll be at the centre of the project—bringing together consultants, contractors, stakeholders and end users to keep everyone moving towards the same goal.

These aren't always easy projects.

Many are delivered in complex, operational environments where construction needs to happen while the world around it keeps moving.

That requires more than a good programme.

It requires judgement.

Communication.

Commercial awareness.

And the ability to solve problems before they become bigger ones.

What You'll Be Doing

Depending on the project, you'll be involved across the full development and delivery lifecycle, including:

• Taking ownership of projects from planning through to completion

• Representing the client throughout project delivery

• Coordinating design teams, consultants and contractors

• Managing procurement and tender processes

• Navigating approvals and project planning requirements

• Managing programme, risk, budget and delivery outcomes

• Working with diverse stakeholder groups in complex operational environments

• Solving the inevitable challenges that come with delivering real projects

• Building trusted relationships with clients and project partners

Most importantly, you'll be given the opportunity to genuinely manage projects—not simply administer them.

Who We're Looking For

You may already be working within a client-side project management consultancy.

Or perhaps you've built strong delivery experience elsewhere and are ready for a role that gives you greater exposure to the client, the decisions and the complete project lifecycle.

Either way, you'll probably have around four or more years of relevant experience and a background in construction, engineering, architecture, property or a related discipline.

Experience across health, schools, universities, government, institutional property or other complex building environments would be highly regarded.

You'll also be someone who:

• Enjoys taking ownership

• Communicates confidently with people at every level

• Can keep multiple moving parts heading in the same direction

• Understands construction—not just project administration

• Remains calm when a project inevitably throws up a challenge

• Builds relationships easily and earns the trust of clients

• Wants to keep learning and progressing

You don't need to know everything.
