HR Business Partner – Industrial / Blue Collar

The Opportunity

We are partnering with a growing and well-established organisation supporting a large operational workforce across multiple sites.

Due to continued growth and increasing workforce complexity, an opportunity now exists for an experienced HR Business Partner to join the team in a hands-on, operationally focused role.

This position will suit a commercially minded HR professional who enjoys working closely with leaders, navigating workforce challenges and operating within a blue-collar / industrial environment.

The Role

Working as a trusted partner to operational leaders, you will provide end-to-end HR support across a range of workforce matters, including:

• Managing complex employee relations and performance matters

• Providing advice across EBAs, awards and industrial relations frameworks

• Supporting leaders with day-to-day HR decision making

• Partnering on workforce planning and organisational change initiatives

• Leading investigations, disciplinary processes and case management

• Coaching leaders to build capability across people management

• Supporting continuous improvement across HR processes and systems

About You

You are an experienced HR professional who thrives in operational environments and enjoys working closely with the business.

You will bring:

• Approximately 10+ years’ experience in HR Advisory / Business Partner roles

• Strong exposure to blue-collar / industrial workforces

• Demonstrated experience working with EBAs, awards and industrial relations matters

• Proven capability managing complex ER cases and investigations

• Strong knowledge of Australian employment legislation

• Ability to influence, challenge and build credibility with stakeholders

• Experience within construction, infrastructure, mining, energy or manufacturing environments highly regarded
