Role Overview
A major Australian infrastructure and energy organisation is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to support financial performance, strategic decision-making and long-term capital planning across a complex asset and project environment.
This role sits within a commercially focused finance team supporting large-scale infrastructure operations and investment programs. You will provide high-quality financial analysis, forecasting and insights to senior stakeholders, contributing directly to business performance, regulatory outcomes and capital investment decisions.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver financial analysis and insights to support infrastructure and energy operations
Prepare budgets, forecasts and long-term financial models
Support capital expenditure planning and investment evaluation
Provide variance analysis and performance reporting to senior stakeholders
Assist with regulatory, business case and commercial submissions
Partner with operational and project teams to improve financial outcomes
Contribute to continuous improvement of financial systems, models and reporting
About You
Degree qualified in Finance, Accounting, Economics or a related discipline
CA, CPA or equivalent professional qualification (or near completion)
Experience in financial analysis within infrastructure, energy, utilities or capital-intensive environments
Strong financial modelling, forecasting and analytical capability
Ability to translate financial data into clear commercial insights
Experience working with senior leaders and non-financial stakeholders
Detail-oriented, structured and commercially minded
