Role Overview
This permanent opportunity is for an experienced Project Controls Engineer supporting the delivery of large-scale energy infrastructure projects in South East Queensland. The role sits within a well-established national contractor delivering complex, technically challenging works for tier-one energy clients.
You will work closely with project leadership and commercial teams, providing robust cost control, scheduling and performance reporting across a live construction environment. This role suits a Project Controls Engineer who values delivery discipline, transparency and long-term project continuity.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and maintain integrated project schedules across major energy infrastructure projects
Provide cost control, forecasting and earned value reporting
Track progress against baselines and identify schedule or cost risks early
Prepare monthly project reports for senior leadership and stakeholders
Support change management, claims analysis and variation tracking
Work closely with construction, engineering and commercial teams to ensure accurate project controls data
Contribute to continuous improvement of project controls systems and processes
About You
Proven experience as a Project Controls Engineer on infrastructure or energy projects
Strong background in cost control, planning and performance reporting
Experience working in contractor-led, site-based delivery environments
Proficiency with project controls software and reporting tools
Strong commercial awareness and stakeholder communication skills
Degree qualified in engineering, construction management or a related discipline
