Role Overview:
We are recruiting a Project Controls Engineer with strong capability in Power BI, data interpretation and workforce planning to support infrastructure and energy project delivery across Australia. This role sits close to the business, bridging project data with real-world site execution and operational decision-making.
Rather than a purely desktop-based planning role, this position requires someone who understands how projects run on site — how labour is deployed, how productivity shifts, and how data can be translated into practical insights that improve delivery outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop, maintain and interpret Power BI dashboards to support project performance reporting.
Analyse workforce data, productivity trends and schedule performance to inform planning decisions.
Support construction planning and workforce scheduling aligned to live site conditions.
Work closely with project managers, site teams and engineering leads to understand operational realities.
Translate complex project data into clear, actionable insights for delivery teams.
Support forecasting, progress measurement and performance reporting across multiple work fronts.
Assist with baseline development, schedule updates and scenario modelling.
Spend time on site as required to validate data accuracy and understand delivery constraints.
About You:
Experience in project controls, planning, reporting or performance analysis within infrastructure, energy or major projects.
Strong capability in Power BI, including dashboard development and data interpretation.
Understanding of construction or project delivery environments, including workforce deployment and site operations.
Comfortable engaging with site teams and project leadership to challenge and validate data.
Analytical mindset with the ability to connect data trends to commercial and operational outcomes.
Experience working across planning, controls and delivery interfaces (P6 / MS Project exposure desirable).
